- Fruits early for a blackberry, ripening in late July in Scotland and has a condensed fruit period of around four weeks
- Thorn free, semi erect
- Susceptible to purple blotch Septocyta ruborum and blackberry cane and leaf rust Kuehneola uredines
- Slightly smaller than Loch Ness
